A bungalow near the grounds of Marlborough Lines Stadium 2000 in Blenheim will be demolished and transformed into a lunch space for users of the stadium.
Marlborough District Council recently bought the property which is surrounded by stadium and car parking.
Council plans to demolish the property in the next fortnight.
The area will be grassed over and a single pedestrian track put in, council confirmed.
Some bench seats from existing stock from the council reserves department will be placed in the area to be used as a sitting spot and lunch space for users of the stadium.
Is the region better served by having multiple events over one weekend or spread out throughout the year?Related story: (See story)
