The Picton Business Group will hold a meeting on Wednesday night for Picton and Marlborough Sounds business owners to discuss the proposal to shift the ferry terminals to Clifford Bay.
Group chairman Graham Gosling said on Friday that all business owners were invited to meet at the Mercure Picton hotel in Waikawa Rd at 6pm tomorrow to learn about the possible impact of losing the ferries. The proposed move could see Picton lose visitors, business and services.
Mr Gosling said the Government needed to be more open about what was being investigated. "We must look after and protect our future. What we want is to be given the necessary information so we can be fully informed to have a balanced view of the major proposal."
Marlborough District Council mayor Alistair Sowman, councillors, and someone from the ministry of transport were invited.
