Woodbank School held its annual open day last Tuesday with parents, pets and pre-school children joining them for the day.

The occasion also doubled as a chance for the students to unveil a mural they have been working on as part in their initiative to improve their environment.

The mural depicts the surrounding Clarence area, complete with native trees, farm animals and even a group of people on a raft going down the Clarence River. It takes up one wall of the swimming pool area. Teacher Sarah Laugesen said she drew the outlines and then the school's four students had done all the painting over two weeks.
