A number plate stolen from Gill's Construction yard on Friday night was put on a vehicle which was used in a petrol drive-off at the BP service station about 8.50pm on Saturday.

Police are appealing for anyone who saw a grey four-door Skyline in the area over the weekend to come forward with information.

The car had a rear tail light out and would have had a different registration plate on the front from the back.
