The Kaikoura Lions swimming pool looks set to reopen to the public on Saturday, November 21, and reopen to groups and schools on Monday, November 23.

This will be subject to the employment of suitable staff, cleaning the pool and, of course, good weather.

If the pool heating and presentation reaches the required standard before this date there is a chance it could be open even earlier.

Public swimming hours will be from 10am to 5pm and the pool management will endeavour to meet requests from groups, with times to be addressed once bookings are received and confirmed.

Manager Peter Wallace says he anticipates being able to offer the same services as swimmers have enjoyed in past seasons.

Admission costs this year will be $3 for adults and $2 for children.

Great. I'm glad to see the pool ready to reopen for families. Good luck.
