Hi Kaikoura,

On Friday night I dealt with a male in relation to an assault.

He was also breaching his bail conditions so got taken to Blenheim where he appeared in court the following morning.

Saturday night was my first call out for seals on the highway near Goose Bay.

With the help of the police siren they eventually retreated to the beach.

On Sunday evening a 25-year-old male kayaking in the Clarence River came out of his kayak and ended up swept to the far side of the river.

He tried to swim across several times but the current was too strong.

He was eventually brought back by another kayaker, treated at the scene by a doctor and apart from being very cold, was uninjured.

That's all for this week,

Tony Willetts
