With some of the best early snow for years, the crew at Mt Lyford are gearing up for a bumper season and looking forward to seeing many local skiers and boarders on the slopes during the school holidays.

Most slopes are now open, with an average base on main runs of 75 centimetres as of Monday. Snow conditions are packed powder with pockets of powder, and all main runs are groomed with great skiing and riding for all abilities.

The weather has been ideal this week, with sunny blue skies.

Chains are essential for all vehicles going up the mountain. There is also a shuttle service which will pick up from the toll gate or further down the road in the case of more snow.

To book a place on the shuttle bus, call 0276298083 the day before you plan to visit.
