Hi Kaikoura, It's been pretty busy this week. The weekend was good, apart from one intoxicated male who was arrested for trying to start fights in the middle of town. He was transported to Blenheim and will be appearing in court next month.

There will be a real focus on seatbelts this month so make sure you always have it on so that you don't end up with a ticket. The last few crashes I have attended, seatbelts have been the real factor preventing serious injury or worse. There really is no excuse.

There have also been a few reports of scammers making phone calls and sending letters trying to pry personal and bank details out of people. Just remember not to give out any details to anyone over the phone no matter how legitimate they might seem. If they tell you have inherited a fortune you didn't know about or some other scheme that sounds too good to be true, then it probably is.

That's all for this week.
