Twelve students from Marlborough Boys and Girls Colleges headed off on the final part of their three week wilderness adventure with a 32km bike ride from Wairau Valley to Blenheim today. The kids are all taking part in Project K, and spent three weeks tramping, rock climbing, cycling and taking part in other challenging outdoor activities. Pictured far left is Marlborough Midweek reporter, Sven Herselman, who rode along with the kids and their three instructors.

The group turned down Hawksbury Road and onto Dog Point Road as they approached Blenheim
Arriving early in Blenheim, some one and-a-half hours ahead of their expected 5.30pm arrival time gave the kids a chance to relax and kick back at Burleigh Park for a while. They still had heaps of energy despite three weeks in the bush, which included a 5 day 65km tramp and four days of cycling that took them over 180km.
