Eight Marlborough players were part of a successful 16-strong Tasman team that finished third in the South Island 10s and 12s age-grade tennis tournament in Timaru over the weekend.
Marlborough's Kyla Otway, playing at No 3 in the girls 12s team, had an outstanding tournament, winning all her 10 matches. Her sister, Jade, also did well in the girls' 12s No 1 position, winning seven of her 10 ties.
In the 10s division, newcomer Isla Fulton finished with seven wins from 10 matches. Also taking part in the event for Marlborough were Oscar Parkinson, Oscar Sandford-Jury and Guy Clarke in the 10s and Torban Otway and Jack Winstanley in the 12s.
Canterbury City and Canterbury Country finished first and second in both grades, with Tasman finishing above Southland, South Canterbury and Otago.
