Interclub squash to get makeover
Relevant offers
The Marlborough interclub squash competition will have a new look this season and players are warned to sign up soon if they don't want to miss out.
Interclub play runs from April 20 and 21 until the end of August, with players needing to sign up before March 21.
This year, interclub will feature a new premier league along with the usual men's and women's division one and two competitions. The premier league will see six men's and nine women's teams line up with four players in each team for matches on Tuesday evenings at Marlborough Lines Stadium and Marlborough Boys' College courts.
Premier players will also be assigned as mentors to division one and two teams to assist with coaching and refereeing during their Wednesday night games.
Players must be graded and be up-to-date financial members of a New Zealand-affiliated Marlborough squash club.
Sign-up sheets are at the three Marlborough squash clubs. For players who aren't looking for competitive play or are unable to commit for the 20 weeks, regular social leagues will run throughout the interclub season.
