Twilight tennis competitor Mark Evans is all concentration as he looks to come into the net in a recent round of the Marlborough Tennis Club's twilight doubles tennis competition at the Pollard Park courts.
Started as a way to get people playing tennis on a Friday night in winter, competition spokesman Simon Clark said the concept has proved successful with all who have taken part so far.
As well as giving players competitive tennis that kept them in touch during winter, it has been a great way for people to unwind and relax at the end of the week, and next year they were looking to extend the competition to two rounds.
After seven weeks of round robin play Top Spin, The Djoks and Matariki all join round robin winners Night Stars in the semi-finals this Friday.
