A comfortable victory in the sixth and final race saw Paul Tredinnick and his Farr 1020 Acquiesce wrap up the division one title in the Waikawa Boating Club's Sunday Series at the weekend.
One of only two boats to compete in all six races, the win was Acquiesce's fourth of the series and saw Tredinnick beat out the other boat to sail in all six races, Terry Allen's Imagine It, by four points for the overall title.
Hanse 37 Imagine It, who had to settle for second in the last four races, crossed the line 21 seconds behind Acquiesce on Sunday, but was nearly two minutes behind after time corrections.
Ross 830 Floozie, the only other division one boat in action, was another four minutes back on corrected time.
While Acquiesce had the division one series title all but secure before Sunday's final race, victory was all-important for division two series champion Clive Harrigan on his Raven 26 Settimio.Settimio and club commodore Nicki Jenkins' Crawford 41 Summer Wine, who placed second on Sunday, finished the series tied on seven points, but Settimio's two wins to Summer Wine's one saw Harrigan take overall honours.
Summer Wine easily recorded the fastest time in race six, almost 15 minutes clear of Settimio, however, handicap calculations put Settimio over two minutes clear. Third, another 33 seconds behind Summer Wine on handicap, was Paul Williams on Sovereign.
