Round four of this year's Marlborough smallbore shooting interclub competition was held at the Blenheim range on Thursday night and, for the fourth time, RSA Red proved too good for their rivals in open grade.
The dominant trio of Val Wadsworth, Kim Bishell and Regan Cowe combined for a total score of 589.27, beating out Services One and Services Two for grade honours. Wadsworth's 198.10 was the second best individual score, Gavin Hadfield of fourth-placed RSA Gold topping the standings with 198.11.
Despite missing out on top spot in open grade, Services were victorious in round four when they won both lower grades. They were comfortable 10-point winners over Blenheim in B grade and also beat the host club out for first place in C grade.
It was a good night for the Jansen van Vuuren family, of Services, in the individual standings, Herman topping B grade with 195.7 and Jody leading C grade with 193.7.
