One-hour barrier is time trial target

Cuddon Cycling Marlborough's riders will compete in team time trial events at Renwick tomorrow afternoon.

The open grade 40km event starts at the Waihopai Valley turnoff and follows a course along State Highway 63, almost to Wairau Valley township and return. With some of the top riders away competing in the Benchmark series in Christchurch, interest will be focused on breaking the one-hour barrier, with some interesting team combinations.

The junior under-17 grade riders will compete in a 20km team time trial on the same course.

All riders are to assemble opposite Grove Mill Winery in Waihopai Valley Rd at 1pm for a 1.30pm start.
