We are not far from the Marlborough Women's Triathlon now. Hannah Maher takes you through the training for week seven.
Week Seven - well done ladies, you are nearly there.
The hard work over the last seven weeks will be put to the test next week and your commitment and dedication will pay off.
As we start the final preparations this week you will want to complete a few training sessions in the clothes you are going to wear when you race.
The clothes you choose to wear should be comfortable - you want to be able to move freely and feel comfortable to run, cycle and swim in these.
You also want to make sure they are not rubbing anywhere, irritating your skin. The last thing you want is to get chafe.
For a preventative measure I would recommend rubbing Vaseline or BodyGlide (purchase from sport shops) on to the vulnerable areas as this will help prevent any chafe.
You will also be starting to think about what you may require in the transition area.
As you change from run to bike think about having a drink bottle ready on or at your bike - it is important to keep hydrated throughout the race.
As you return your bike and head for the pool, visualise taking off your shoes, socks, maybe a cap and glasses.
It is important to run through the race in your mind so you are well prepared and know how you want your race to go. It is also important to visualise yourself crossing the finish line. You can all do it.
