Wairau bagged an outright win over Renwick while Picton/QCC beat Celtic on the first innings in the latest round of Marlborough third grade competition action at Oliver Park in Blenheim on Saturday afternoon.
At the No 1 ground, Picton/QCC elected to bat first and reached 184 before they were all out after 39 overs.
Matt Larsen-Horne led the way with 41, while Corey Rawlings chipped in with 36.
Tan Shahzad took 4-25 from his nine overs to be Celtic's best bowler, with Nathan Shott collecting 2-33 from eight.
In reply, Celtic could manage only 128 all out in the 39th over. Harry Middleton (28) and Shahzad (21) were the top-scoring Celtic batsmen.
A return of 4-23 from Blair Timms was the key to Picton/QCC's bowling effort, with Isaac Rawlings (2-25) and Lachi Woolf (2-28) also contributing.
At the nearby No 2 ground, a good knock from Heath Murphy and an outstanding bowling effort from Harry MacDonald led Wairau to an outright win over Renwick. Wairau posted 190 for seven batting first, with Murphy anchoring the innings with an unbeaten 42 and finding good support from Nick Stanton (23), Vaughan Collins (21), Ben Allan (19) and MacDonald (17).
Renwick's first innings was over not long after it started as a superb spell of 6-8 from five overs by medium-pacer MacDonald saw them all out for just 21.
Collins bagged 3-8 from four at the other end.
The follow-on was enforced by Wairau and they were able to secure maximum points for the outright result when they bowled Renwick out for 70.
