Blenheim Masters Swimming members Pete Colbert and Phil Jeffs both collected medals when the State Ocean Swim Series'Sand to Surf event was held in Mt Maunganui last weekend.
Six Marlborough swimmers took part in the fifth race of the six race series, where over 950 competitors were in action.
Two more medals brought Blenheim Masters Swimming's series tally up to 12, with Colbert and Jeffs placing second and third, respectively, in the male 60-64 years category.
Paul Sell was once again the first Marlborough swimmer home in 35mins 35sec, good enough for fourth in the male 40-44 years category and 48th overall. John Scobie was eight in the male 60-64 years division and 331st overall, Emma Sell was 33rd in the female 40-44 years division and 635th overall, while Judy Hegglun was second in the female 60-plus division and 80th overall in the 1km race.
With the sixth and final event in the series in Auckland on April 12, three Blenheim Masters Swimming members are holding podium positions and one is just outside. Sell, Colbert and Jodie Lovell are all lying in second in the series standings of their respective categories, while Jeffs is in fourth.
