Sullivan, Cohen in final
Marlborough rower Joseph Sullivan surged into the final of the Olympic double sculls last night, but again he and partner Nathan Cohen had their supporters on the edge of their seats.
After a close battle with three other crews for the three qualifying spots, Sullivan and Cohen finished second. The final is at 8.50pm tomorrow.
Also through to the next round is Sean O'Neill and the Kiwi four who placed second in their repechage and advance to a semi at 9.10pm tomorrow.
John Robinson's lightweight double of Louise Ayling and Julia Edward finished second and also race a semi tomorrow night, 9.30pm.
Tonight is crunch time for Robbie Manson and his crew in the semifinals of the quad at 9.40pm, chasing a spot in Friday's final.
Another race to watch is the women's pairs final at 9.10pm as Juliette Haigh and Rebecca Scown try to recapture top form. Gold medal favourites Eric Murray and Hamish Bond race their pairs semi at 10pm.
Goalkeeper Michael O'Keeffe will be hoping his heroics in the last Oly-Whites' game earns him a spot in the side for their match against Brazil at 1.30am tomorrow.
