From left, Sophie Mason, Connor Rickard and Azalia from Redwoodtown Kindergarten in Blenheim, hone their baking skills ahead of the Great Family Bake-off this weekend.

Marlborough, get your aprons on and pre-heat the ovens: It's time for the Great Family Bake-Off.

Whether your specialty is biscuits, cupcakes, savouries or grandly decorated cakes there's a category for you.

A fundraiser for Redwoodtown Kindergarten, the bake-off will take place at Redwoodtown School Hall on Saturday, May 2 at 1pm.
Each entry costs $5 and you can enter as many times in as many sections as you like.  Everyone who enters is in the draw for spot prizes during the event.
Anyone can enter and there are different sections and age groups, plus a special category for dads: The Battle of the Bake-Off.

Children can come in fancy dress and there will be a costume parade and a short performance by the kindergarten children.
All the bakers' hard work won't go to waste and will be shared for afternoon tea.
However, the 'decorated cake' section will not be eaten, but instead will be auctioned off to raise money for a slide, water trough and shade sail for the kindergarten.

There will be coffee and cold drinks for sale and a raffle.
Entry forms for the Great Blenheim Family Bake-Off can be picked up and dropped off at the Redwoodtown Kindergarten and the Boo-Tea coffee cart in Market Pl, central Blenheim.
