Intimate venue for songstress
Auckland songstress Ruby Frost is touring the country and will perform in the home of one lucky fan in Blenheim on Tuesday.
The electro-pop artist is eschewing large venues in favour of something more intimate for her nationwide tour which starts this weekend.
Spokesman for the artist Matt Offord said fans voted to have Frost and her two-piece band perform in their home and one lucky fan in Blenheim won the opportunity to have her perform at their home. Mr Oxford could not confirm where Frost was performing in Blenheim.
Frost's songs are about about infatuation, disaster and outer-space. Her singing voice had been compared to Icelandic singer-songwriter Bjork, Mr Offord said.
She begins her tour this weekend in Napier and will play 22 dates throughout the country in December and January.
Her debut album Volition , released this year, features singles Water To Ice, Moonlight and the new single Young. She has recently returned from a month-long tour of Australia with fellow New Zealanders Evermore.
