The ever popular Marlborough 4 Fun Summer Concert Series will take place again this year, with the first show on Sunday at Pollard Park, Blenheim.
Two further shows will be held, one in Picton on February 15 and in Renwick on February 15. Each show will feature different acts with the three shows aiming to appeal to all ages and tastes.
At the Pollard Park show, which runs from 5pm till 7.30pm, you can enjoy the Marlborough District Brass Band as well as top New Zealand entertainer Paul Madsen. He has combined with experienced musicians Paul Jeffries and Ronnie McGowan to produce a Kiwi tribute to the hit Broadway show Jersey Boys. It will be a set not to be missed, so gather up a picnic and the family.
Entry is free, as it is to all the shows, with some free childrens activities including face painting and a bouncy castle.
The Picton foreshore show from 2pm till 4pm will feature Wellington-based singer song writer Mat Enright performing an acoustic set as well as highly popular magician Brendan Dooley who will entertain both the children and the adults. Bring your togs and a towel and take a dip in the sea, enjoy a Mr Whippy or sausage sizzle and make some summer family memories. The final show at the Renwick domain is more aimed at the teen scene and run in conjunction with the Renwick Sk8 Club contest, with Smoke Free Rockquest winners Arm the Reckless performing after the competition at 3pm.
