BP has dropped its diesel price for the second time this week, but no change to the price of petrol is expected just yet.
Diesel dropped a further 2 cents a litre at the pump today after a 3c dip this week.
Petrol has remained flat after a 3c rise on Tuesday because of an excise tax increase that will be used to pay for roading and public transport through the National Land Transport Fund.
A litre of 91 octane is 223.9c, while diesel has fallen to 149.9c.
Automobile Association PetrolWatch spokesman Mark Stockdale said diesel prices could still fall further, but no change to petrol prices was expected because importer margins were in the normal range.
