BOSSY VOICE: Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson will soon be telling drivers where to go, as the bossy voice of a car satellite navigation system.

Outspoken Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson will soon be telling drivers where to go, as the bossy voice of a car satellite navigation system.

The 51-year-old Brit has been recruited by TomTom for the latest version of its automotive electronic guidance system, British newspaper The Sunday Times reported.

The BBC front man said consumers can expect to receive frank instructions.

''It is mostly about the tone of voice I use,'' Clarkson said. ''It's not a gentle sat nav voice, put it like that.''

Clarkson has openly ridiculed satellite navigation systems during his time as a presenter of the popular motoring show and both the BBC and TomTom refuse to disclose the value of the agreement, The Times said.
