The 2014 Corvette C7 has been ''previewed'' with various sketches recently and the image above is the best we've come across so far.

It is believed that the car will be revealed in the flesh at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show in January.

Corvetteblogger.com says it is believed the new model will contain a front engine/rear wheel drive configuration with an all new small block V8 estimated to produce 440 hp in its base form. It is currently expected to arrive sometime in 2013 as a 2014 model.

Interest in the vehicle is so high that corvetteblogger.com also reports that someone even advertised a 2014 Corvette on auction site, eBay.com. It seems the seller had claimed to have an order placed with a Corvette dealer.

The ad, which has since been removed, stated: ''You are bidding on a new 2014 Chevrolet corvette. You add the options you want. This is your chance to be one of the very first owners of a 2014 corvette. This is the deposit only. remaining balance is due when car arrives. There is a 10% nonrefundable deposit. deposit payment is due at end of auction.''

Meanwhile, company called Trinity Animation has come up with a CGI video (see below) that shows a digitally animated 2014 Corvette on the move.
