Tesla creator Elon Musk calls his electric Model S ''the most advanced car on the planet'' but just how fast is it?
Automobile Magazine decided to find out by lining up the ground-breaking electric against the 560 horsepower BMW M5 at Gingerman Raceway, Michigan, in the US.
The Tesla touts a 0-100 kmh time of 4.4 seconds while the BMW beast boasts 4.2 seconds which should make for a close race.
And how did the Tesla perform? Well Automobile Magazine's Ezra Dyer was moved to call the Tesla "the sneakiest performance car on the market".
