Maybe it's time for a makeover if you've shelled out around $100,000 for a fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro and you don't like it.

Fear not, a US company - Lingenfelter - could be your saviour with a "retrokit" package designed to make your Camaro look more like those muscle-car models from the 60s.

Package prices start at US$6850 ($NZ8360) which doesn't include installation. Full Lingenfelter installation will boost the price to just below US$10,000..

For that, a new Camaro owner's vehicle will receive a new front fascia, chin spoiler with a choice of headlamps either hidden or exposed.

In defence of the kit, Ken Lingenfelter says "many Camaro fans were disappointed when the design of the fifth gen Camaro didn't look as much as the '69 Camaro as, say, the new Mustang looked like the original.

"With our Retrokits package, enthusiasts can have the best of both worlds - the technology of today paired with the muscle car styling of the past."
