The new New Beetle arrives in standard form in New Zealand in January, but on November 28 its cabriolet sibling is to debut at the Los Angeles auto show.
The new Beetle cabriolet will offer seven engines. There'll be an entry-level 1.2-litre TSI with a BlueMotion Technology option. Other petrol options are the 1.4-litre TSI and the 2.0-litre version, while diesel engines comprise a 1.6-litre TDI with and a 2.0-litre TDI.
New Zealand is set to get the car well in time for Summer 2013-14.
