When it comes to horsepower where will it all stop?
Texas-based Hennessey Performance are renowned for outfitting vehicles with ridiculous levels of horsepower and their latest continues that theme with the eye-popping 1500 hp from a 7.0 litre twin-turbo V8 in the Venom GT2.

The GT2 is the follow-up to the Venom GT which was labelled by some as a "Veyron-killer" when it was unveiled with 1200 hp and a power-to-weight ratio of one brake horse power per kilogram. Amazingly the GT2, boasts the same ratio with its 1500 hp.
It also seems that the term "supercar" is a thing of the past with the Venom GT being labelled a "hypercar" and expected to be unveiled sometime in 2013.
And how much for a hypercar? Well the sticker price in the US is a cool US$1.25 million which is NZ$1.51 million at today's exchange rate. For an extra US$165,000 (NZ$200,600) you can get the seven-speed paddle-shift transmission.
More specifications are to be released at a later date.
"Venom GT2 is an evolution from our original car," Hennessey told Jalopnik.com, adding that there is extra room for the driver/passenger over the standard Venom GT which should allow someone up 1.95 metres to squeeze in. That is an improvement of around 5cm.
