A French motorcycling journalist got it wrong big time when out testing a new machine recently.

The writer/rider from Moto Journal was negotiating the 2013 Yamaha FJR1300A along a harbour edge in the commune of Saint-Martin-de-Re in southwestern France. when a pannier snagged a bollard sending the rider and machine plummeting several metres onto a pier and into a boat.

There's no word on injuries to the rider or motorcycle but as Moto Journal has posted the video clip we expect that it is only pride that has been hurt the most.
