No matter how many Batman details Nissan adds to this one-off Juke Nismo it will never be a Batmobile.

Nissan has unveiled "The Dark Knight Rises Juke Nismo" in the UK to celebrate their partnership with Warner Bros and the release of the film on DVD and Blu-Ray, calling it a "truly unique car... that will make the lucky owner the envy of every movie fan and car buff".

Nissan doesn't profess the car to be a Batmobile but does claim ''the Batman-inspired details will make the driver feel just like Bruce Wayne''.

There are bat badges on the front grille and tailgate while the unique gloss black 18-inch alloy wheels include bespoke red detailing, matching the eye-catching pinstripe on the bumpers and sills of the standard Juke Nismo.

HOLY BATMAN OVERKILL

Open the door and you're greeted by Batman logos on the kickplates and reflective Batman badges on the headrests of the suede-trimmed Nismo sports seats. Thanks to downlighters mounted under the door mirrors the famous Bat signal can be projected onto the floor area around the doors. A clever uplighter projects the same signal onto the black headlining inside too.

Nissan adds that the matt black paint gives "a menacing look reminiscent of Batman's Tumbler" but we suspect the little Juke would be nothing more than a minor bump in the road if run over by the real Tumbler.

The DKR Juke's power comes from the same 1.6-litre turbocharged engine based on the new Juke Nismo to be released next month and has a 0-100 km/h time of 7.8 seconds.

The car is a one-off, however, and will only be won in the UK by someone who enters a special online "thrill test" competition which runs through to February 28, with the winner announced early March.
