There is no surprise in the fact Toyota's fourth generation RAV4 looks exactly like the photos leaked on the internet over the past few days.

Toyota "officially" unveiled its latest RAV edition early today (NZ time) at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

The previous three generations of RAV have amassed more than 4.5 million sales in more than 150 countries worldwide.

This new version is 205mm longer, 30mm wider and 25mm lower than its predecessor.

Other features Toyota claims are more cabin space, new powertrains with better performance, reduced fuel consumption and lower emissions and a top hinged tailgate which will be a standard feature for the first time.
