Dude's dumb car taping stunt was chasing sponsorship
A man taped to the outside of the car and driven around a US city did so with the hope of getting sponsorship.
The crazy, or should that be dumb stunt, in Oakland, California, did not impress police and is unlikely to impress tape company who was the target of the stunt.
In the video posted on various social media platforms, 21-year-old Zack Al is seen taking a ride while taped to the side of a car driven by his cousin, 20-year-old Leebo Al.
While they thought the stunt was funny, police did not, with officers saying the pair not only put themselves in danger, but also other motorists.

The pair revealed they came up with the dumb idea when realising that they had never seen a stunt like that before - at least not one on video.
"People were recording us and laughing and some were even shaking their heads," Zack Al told NBCBaytv. "We knew it was 100 per cent safe, especially using Gorilla Tape."
The cousins told NBCBaytv they were hoping to impress Gorilla Tape in order to get sponsorship for future videos.
The stunt earned them tickets for unlawful riding and reckless behaviour, but they are planning to fight the reckless charge.
"The individuals engaged in this act put not only themselves in danger, but also other motorists who travel the roadways," said the Oakland Police Department.
The duo said they plan to produce more crazy videos but added they will legal.
