Italian supercar maker Lamborghini muscled in for a share of the spotlight with the human stars at the London premiere of Transformers: The Last Knight.

The fifth instalment of the Transformers storyline will hit theatres worldwide on Wednesday night (NZT) with Mark Wahlberg, Anthony Hopkins and Josh Duhamel among the human stars.

However, the movie is also much about the cars that are Autobots or Decepticons.

Leading the way is the NZ$2.7 million Lamborghini Centenario. Only 20 of these beauties were made and one was on the red carpet for the London Premiere and the 350kmh supercar was a popular photo partner, along with other vehicles in the movie, including the Ford Mustang in the role of Barricade.
