Massive rear wing? Gold wheels? World Rally Blue paint? This can only be one thing - the new Subaru WRX STi.
Leaked images of the Japanese brand's high performance sedan have surfaced online ahead of the car's debut at the 2014 Detroit motor show next week.
No official details have been released by Subaru about the new flagship sedan, but rumour has it the new model will be powered by either a pumped up version of the 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder ''boxer'' engine in the standard WRX, or a 2.5-litre four-cylinder turbo - as was the case in the existing STi.
What's certain is that it will produce more power than the standard car, with 227kW or more expected from the racy new model.
Other changes over the standard WRX will likely include a greater use of lightweight materials, improved aerodynamics from its sharp body kit, revised suspension and lightweight wheels with grippier tyres.
