A motorist in Thailand has miraculously walked away with just minor injuries from a high speed crash that ripped his Lamborghini Gallardo supercar in half.

The Bangkok Post named the driver as 40-year-old Pitak Riangsima and said he was travelling at about 150 kmh in heavy rain when the crash occurred.

The car, according to Riangsima, slid off the slippery road and slammed into a tree.

He was surprised to find the car in two pieces after stepping out of the front half.

Riangsima revealed he had only hours before the crash bought a rare Buddhist amulet worth thens of thousands of dollars and a friend had urged him towear it in order to keep him safe.
