Cromwell police have put out an alert for a 70-year-old man last seen at 2am yesterday.

They were concerned Alloway did not have extra clothing or medication with him when he was last sighted.

Alloway may be wearing a blue or black jacket and dark long pants. He is of medium build and about 184cm tall.

He is slightly balding with wispy grey hair and is clean shaven.
