A truck which hit the barrier barrier on Auckland's Southern motorway at Drury, blocking right hand lanes in both directions, caused long traffic queues this morning.
The truck was travelling north when it hit the median barrier at 7.40am.
Commuters were earlier warned to expect significant delays, with a police spokesperson saying "it will be a shocker."
Traffic was at a stand-still from Papakura southbound and Ramarama northbound.
By 9.20am the NZTA said the Drury crash scene had been cleared and Southern Motorway traffic was free-flowing in both directions.
