A car crashed into the front of Thames house overnight and a driver lost control on the Waikato Expressway this morning.
The first driver came to grief at 11.36pm last night on Williamson St when the vehicle ran into the front of a house, Fire Service spokeswoman Megan Ruru said.
It was not clear whether the smashed into the building or simply careened into the yard.
''There were no persons trapped and we assisted police,'' Ruru said.
One person was taken to Thames Hospital with minor injuries and the scene was left in the hands of police.
Ruru said this morning's crash occurred about 6.20am between Ohinewai and Te Kauwhata on the expressway.
''There were no persons trapped but the car ended up close to the railway tracks. We notified train control.''
The driver was not injured and the scene was left in the hands of police.
