The remains of a man who has been missing for 20 years has been found among foliage in a forest in Northland.
Forestry workers stumbled across the remains of the man, aged 42 when last seen, as they were replanting the area after logging, police said.
They were working in the Brynderwyn Hills, near Artillery Rd, yesterday late afternoon. The remains were removed today.
Next of kin were being notified and the matter had been referred to the coroner, police said.
