Montana Wines co-founder Frank Yukich was made an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit in the Queen's Birthday honours, for services to the wine industry.
Mr Yukich has been involved with the wine business for 30 years. Montana released its first vintage of Marlborough sauvignon blanc in 1979.
The company exports to 30 countries.
Wellingtonian Bob Murdoch was made an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit, for services to manufacturing.
He has been involved in the engineering and manufacturing industry for more than 40 years, working to improve productivity and innovation within the sector. He was founding director of the New Zealand Industrial Supplies Office for more than 10 years, acting as liaison between industry and government.
Inland Revenue deputy commissioner Robin Oliver was made a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to the IRD.
Mr Oliver has overseen the development of several big tax reforms since 1985, including accrual rules, international tax reforms, and the taxation of life insurance and super funds.
