Christchurch cyclist killed in collision named

Police have named the man killed when he collided with a car while cycling in Christchurch yesterday morning.
He was Matthew James Rhind, 19, of Christchurch.
Mr Rhind was killed in the accident at around 7.15am at the intersection of Awatea Road and Carrs Road. He died at the scene.
Police and the Serious Crash Unit are investigating the accident but say the circumstances are yet to be determined.
"Initial reports indicate Mr Rhind, who was cycling west on Awatea Road, crossed the centre-line where he was struck by a light van travelling east," police said.
