Buyers seek the basics for Christmas

Trampolines, tents, barbeques, and bikes were among the most searched items on online auction site Trade Me as New Zealanders head into Christmas.
"It's been a tough year, and New Zealanders seem to be reconnecting with the things that make us uniquely Kiwi," said Trade Me spokesman Daniel Bridges.
The latest fads and fashions were also popular, with the Pandora jewellery trend and the much-hyped Twilight being notable additions to the top 10 list of items searched for during November.
Dogs and puppies continued to feature on the Christmas list.
Mr Bridges said people should think carefully before giving a dog or cat as a gift for Christmas, and ensure that the recipients really wanted the pet, and were well equipped to look after it.
