Woman shocked when family pics included porn

A woman hoping to print the family photos at a Timaru store found herself viewing pornography instead.

She went to The Warehouse on Saturday morning to print the family photos and instead found about a dozen sexually-explicit images alongside Nana's smiling photo.

"I was just about beside myself, I was so, so embarrassed and disgusted," she said, worried other people would think the photos belonged to her.

After clearing the screen, the woman went home and accused her husband of being responsible for the inappropriate material.

His denial fell on deaf ears, until she made him open the file and found only the smiling images of the relatives on screen. There was no porn in sight.

The Warehouse chief operating officer Richard Lewis yesterday confirmed there had been an incident where illicit images had been found on the Timaru store's photo kiosk.

"I can advise that The Warehouse and Hewlett Packard have investigated how this has happened and confirm the offending photographs have been removed. We also confirm that this is the first time we have had this type of incident reported to us."

Mr Lewis said the material popped up because another customer forgot to complete a transaction.
