Road reopened after truck hits bridge

State Highway 27 near Matamata in Waikato has reopened after a truck collided with a bridge this morning.
The driver was taken to hospital with head injuries after the truck, which was carrying empty chicken cages, crashed into Kneebones Bridge, 5km south of Matamata, around 8am.
Traffic was diverted while the truck was removed and the road cleared of diesel but reopened at 12.30pm.
