Police identify injured cyclist

Police say they have identified a cyclist who was seriously injured in a crash in Whanganui on Monday night.
The crash was about 11.25pm, when a red Mazda Eunos and the cyclist collided when travelling in the same direction on Jones St, outside Whanganui Girls' College.
The man, in his twenties, is believed to be from Whanganui, police said.
Police said they would not release his name until they located and notified his family members.
The man has been transferred to Wellington Hospital where he remains in a serious condition.
Police asked anyone with information about the collision, which happened around 11.25pm and involved a red Mazda Eunos car, to contact them on 06 349 0600.
