Man dies from crash injuries

A man has died in hospital after a two-car collision near Palmerston North this morning.
Senior Sergeant Nick Dobson said the man was driving a Toyota Corolla down Works Rd, in Longburn, and was involved in a collision with a Subaru Impreza about 9am this morning.
The man, aged in his 30s, was cut from the car by firefighters and transported to Palmerston North Hospital where he died.
The Subaru driver, aged in his 20s, was also taken to hospital with chest injuries.
Mr Dobson said crash scene investigators were still working out how the accident happened and whether speed was a factor.
