Napier police are searching for a diabetic man who failed to return home from work yesterday.
The 43-year-old man was last seen at work and may have gone swimming in training for a triathlon after work, police said.
He was reported missing by his wife early this morning.
He suffered diabetes and there were concerns he may not have eaten overnight.
The man was described as Caucasian, 172cm tall and driving a silver Ford Courier ute with a canopy.
Police were working with Vodafone to trace any calls made from the man's cellphone.
