LATEST: Police have appealed for witnesses to a crash which today killed a man at Waiuku, south of Auckland, when his motorcycle and a light truck collided.
The motorcyclist was critically injured when paramedics arrived shortly after 7am and died a few minutes later as he was given medical treatment.
Police said they wanted anyone who saw the accident at the intersection of Cornwall and Kitchener roads in Waiuku at 7.10am to come forward.
Details of the dead man were not available.
The serious crash unit was investigating the crash.
