A 15-year-old boy was stabbed during a fight between two groups of young people at a Palmerston North skate park early this morning, police say.
The victim was stabbed in his arm and back during the confrontation at about 3am, Detective Glen Jackson said. He was taken to hospital for treatment, but not admitted.
Two boys, aged 14 and 16, will appear in Palmerston North Youth Court tomorrow charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Police were seeking further information from the public, and at this stage could not rule out whether other people were injured during the fight, Mr Jackson said.
